Saudi Arabia's NEOM reserve welcomes first striped hyena cub

Saudi Arabia's NEOM Nature Reserve has recorded its first striped hyena cub birth after four hyenas were released there in November 2025. The birth marks a key success for the wildlife rehabilitation programme. Experts monitored the animals using GPS collars and cameras, while a special diet helped restore their natural hunting instincts and support their adaptation to the reserve.
