Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a state-owned defence firm has planned to produce indigenous drones, reported state TV al-Ekhbariya. "We are working to establish SAMI as the world's largest munitions factory and localising defence industries," said SAMI CEO Walid Abukhaled. As per al-Ekhbariya report, the kingdom plans to divert 50% of its military spending to Saudi companies by 2030.
