Producer Anand Pandit, who's bankrolling 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar', said that he has enormous respect for Veer Savarkar, adding that the latter was a "totally patriotic person". "I feel he hasn't been portrayed...in the right way on...big canvas...So, I thought I should do this to give something back to...society. Keeping that in mind...I felt I should do this film," he added.
