SBI finds 3,897 records in dark web data leak probe

SBI identified 3,897 customer records with personally identifiable information — including names, mobile numbers, dates of birth, and addresses — during a preliminary review of ~3,75,000 dark web records. Alerted on October 16 by CERT-In and Defence Cyber Agency, SBI has activated cyber response protocols and engaged an independent cybersecurity agency for investigation.
