Supreme Court on Monday agreed to examine a plea over the blocking of social media accounts or content without hearing the creator. A bench sought the Centre's response on quashing Rule 16 of the Information Technology Rules, 2009. Advocate Indira Jaising argued that "notice should be given to the person who has put that information in the public domain."
