SC asks Allahabad HC to probe Lakhimpur trial judge

The Supreme Court directed the Allahabad High Court Chief Justice to examine allegations by advocate Prashant Bhushan against the trial judge in the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The court sought a sealed report before the next hearing and asked Uttar Pradesh to appoint a senior public prosecutor for the trial.
