SC cancels bail of Shiv Sena corporator who assaulted doctors

The Supreme Court cancelled bail of Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre and three others accused of assaulting doctors at Thane's Shastri Nagar Municipal Hospital on July 6. The court said doctors cannot work under threat of violence and directed Maharashtra to evaluate preventive detention against accused, who must surrender by October 5.
