The Supreme Court on Friday rejected the plea filed by Congress' Meenakshi Natarajan against rejection of nomination papers for Rajya Sabha elections. It said candidate needs to approach Election Commission if nomination is rejected by the returning officer. Rajya Sabha Election Returning Officer Arvind Sharma cancelled Meenakshi's nomination over non-disclosure of a criminal case in Telangana.
