SC fines actress & lawyer ₹5 lakh each, says 'luxury litigation' delaying genuine cases
The Supreme Court fined both parties - actress Rehana Khan and lawyer Rizwan Siddique - ₹5 lakh each and commented that "luxury litigation" can delay the hearing of genuine cases. "They have occupied the time of the Bar Council of India, a High Court, and this court for 11 years," it said, adding that this time belonged to other litigants.
