The Supreme Court imposed penalties on Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation for denying screening Tamil and Malayalam films in theatres. The complaint was filed with Competition Commission of India (CCI) by Crown Theatres alleging anti-competitive activities by KFEF. CCI found the allegations to be true and imposed penalties, asking the Federation to not associate with the theatre for two years.
