SC flags difficulty in defining journalists amid protest crackdown

The Supreme Court observed it is difficult to distinguish accredited journalists from others claiming press status under Article 19, while hearing pleas alleging harassment and assault of women journalists by Delhi Police during October 10-11 protests. The court warned against coercive action against journalists and sought government response on attacks on protesters, lawyers, and journalists.
