The Supreme Court has constituted a High-Level Ecosystem Oversight Committee in view of the pollution in the Jojari River in Rajasthan. The Court took suo motu cognizance of pollution in major rivers in western Rajasthan, which has put the lives of 2 million people, animals, and the ecosystem at risk.
