The Supreme Court on Monday gave clean chit to the NDA government in the Rs 24,000-crore Kargil coffin scam of 1999. A PIL had alleged corruption in the purchase of coffins, missiles and munitions by the then BJP-led government. However, the CBI informed the apex court that it was unable to establish the accused guilty.
