Supreme Court has granted bail to Kerala journalist Siddique Kappan who was arrested by UP government under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Kappan was arrested in 2020 while he was on his way to Hathras where a Dalit woman had died after allegedly being gang-raped. Kappan will be released after being produced before the trial court in three days.
