SC panel visits Aravalli villages, hears mining concerns

A Supreme Court-appointed committee examining Aravalli hills' definition visited villages in Charkhi Dadri and Mahendergarh, Haryana. Residents, farmers and activists raised concerns over illegal mining, groundwater depletion, damaged homes, and the auction of protected forest land.
