Supreme Court has set aside NCLT and NCLAT's judgments in an Essel Infraprojects insolvency case after finding they relied on non-existent, fake and hallucinated AI-generated precedents. Comparing it to methyl isocyanide (highly toxic liquid), the apex court said, "Invisible, insidious, and catastrophic, by the time anyone notices...[it] takes away the very lifeline of judicial determination."
