The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to recall its directions that stray dogs picked up from public places like hospitals, bus stands, schools and railway stations mustn't be released to same place after vaccination/sterilisation. The apex court dismissed pleas seeking modifications to directions issued in November last year. The court stated that dog bite menace is rising in the country.
