The Supreme Court of India has refused to stay the release of Vijay Raaz-starrer 'Udaipur Files', which is based on the 2022 Kanhaniya Lal murder case. The court asked both parties to approach Delhi High Court instead. The petitioner stated that the film was "masquerading as free speech". However, Justice Kant pointed out that courts cannot arbitrarily stay movies post-certification.
