A Supreme Court bench of CJI BR Gavai and Justice Augustine George Masih on Tuesday dismissed a plea that sought a direction to the Centre to include Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s name in the schedule to the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950. This act prevents improper use of certain emblems and names for professional and commercial purposes.
