Assam CM Himanta Sarma said people declared foreigners by state Foreigners Tribunals are being pushed back into Bangladesh as per directives of Supreme Court. Sarma stated those who haven't appealed against their status are being pushed back and people with pending appeals aren't targeted. The top court, in its February 4 order, had asked state government to start deportation process.
