The Supreme Court on Monday slammed the Delhi government over vacancies in the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, especially when "Delhi is worst-affected by air pollution". Noticing that only 83 of 204 vacancies were filled, the court directed the government to fill all vacancies by September 2025. "If...vacancies are not filled...it will be a case of aggravated contempt," the court said.
