The Supreme Court on Friday put a stay on counselling for admission to various engineering colleges including IITs and NITs, over the bonus marks issue. IIT had issued 18 extra marks to all candidates who attempted certain wrong questions in JEE-Advanced exam. The court was hearing a petition by candidates who claimed that awarding of extra marks affected their rank.
