The Supreme Court has granted a stay on the ₹200 crore penalty imposed on Amazon by Competition Commission of India (CCI) in Amazon-Future Group deal case. In 2021, CCI had suspended the 2019 deal, noting that Amazon failed to notify strategic interest in Future Retail Limited. SC has directed that no coercive steps be taken against Amazon till next hearing.
