After temple elephant Mahadevi/Madhuri's relocation to Anant Ambani-led wildlife centre Vantara sparked protests in Maharashtra's Kolhapur, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the plea against the move. A bench led by CJI BR Gavai listed the matter to be taken up on August 14. The 36-year-old female elephant lived at a Jain Mutt for over 30 years.
