Supreme Court on Friday ordered the transfer of trial in the murder case of Hindu Samaj Party leader Kamlesh Tiwari from Lucknow to Prayagraj. "The petitioners would be risking their lives in Lucknow...they've already received threats through local lawyers," the accused's plea stated. Kamlesh was shot, stabbed, and had his throat slit in October 2019 at his house in Lucknow.
