Scale AI fired an entire contractor team at its US office, months after Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta invested $14.3 billion in the startup. The team had over a dozen employees who worked on improving how AI chatbots write and were offered four weeks of severance pay and healthcare coverage till October-end. They were also invited to join Scale's gig-work platform Outlier.
