As per Himachal's CID Cybercrime Cell, scammers these days are indulging in synthetic identity frauds. They steal a person's ID and create a fake ID by using the original Aadhaar and PAN card numbers with fake names and pictures. This fake ID is used to take loans, which reflect on the credit report of the original holder of the ID.
