Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday credited the construction of toilets for a decline in the dropout rate of girls from schools since 2014. "In 2.5 lakh schools, over 4.5 lakh toilets were built as a result...dropout ratio has dipped from 17% to 13%," he said, adding that in the same period number of postgraduate medical seats had nearly doubled.
