short by Sourav Kumar / on Thursday, 28 May, 2026
Scientists at Houston University created a material that conducts electricity with zero resistance at the highest temperature ever achieved under normal pressure, breaking a 30-year-old superconductivity record. The material achieved superconductivity at minus 122 degree celsius, surpassing the minus 140 degree celsius record. They work at low temperatures that limit their widespread use.
