US-based scientists claimed to have developed a vaccine that can block the acne-causing effects of the P. acnes bacteria without harming its benefits. The vaccine, awaiting clinical trials, has been successfully tested on skin samples from acne patients, scientists said. According to UK's National Healthcare System, around 80% of people aged 11 to 30 are affected by the disorder worldwide.
