Researchers from China's Shanghai Jiao Tong University successfully produced mice from the DNA of two sperm cells, according to study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Out of 250 embryos created through this method, three pups survived birth and two remained healthy and fertile. They used targeted DNA methylation editing through epigenetic programming to achieve this.
