Scientists at University of Pennsylvania have developed "Mollifier Layers", an AI-based method to solve inverse partial differential equations, one of the toughest math problems. Instead of relying on greater computing power, the solution improves mathematical process by smoothing input before calculations. Researchers said the method reduces instability, lowers noise and cuts computational costs.
