Scientists develop antivenom cocktail against Indian king cobra
Researchers at IISc and Technical University of Denmark have developed an antivenom that offers broad protection against venom from geographically diverse cobra and king cobra species in India. The treatment uses a cocktail of five engineered antibodies called nanobodies. In tests on mice, it neutralised venom and prevented death, even when given 30 minutes after venom injection, researchers said.
