Cambridge University researchers have created a robotic 'third thumb', controlled by a pressure sensor placed under each big toe or foot. A video shared by Cambridge showed researchers using the thumb to open a bottle and hold multiple glasses with one hand. Researchers tested the thumb on 596 participants at an exhibition and found only four couldn't use it.
