Scientists develop smart patch that measures pulse without electronics

Researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology have developed a flexible, transparent patch that can measure pulse and blood vessel stiffness using a smartphone camera. Made of silicone rubber, the patch changes colour when stretched by movements of the skin. It requires no electronics, cables or special equipment and could make health monitoring more accessible.
