Researchers from the University of Copenhagen have developed a test to predict if a 5-year-old will be obese as an adult. The genetic test called a polygenic risk score (PGS) is like a calculator that combines the effects of different genetic variants that a person carries which can increase the risk of obesity. It then provides an overall score.
