Scientists discover how brain rewires itself to multitask

Researchers at Georgetown University uncovered evidence that brain physically reorganises itself as people master a skill, allowing well-practised tasks to become automatic. Well-learned tasks bypass prefrontal cortex and run through specialised neural circuits. This frees brain's "thinking" centre to handle another task simultaneously, suggesting people can truly multitask after enough training.
