Scientists have discovered a massive 7,000 metres deep whale graveyard in the Indian Ocean's Diamantina Fracture Zone. This "supercorridor" contains 485 fossil sites and modern carcasses dating back five million years. The find reveals a thriving deep-sea ecosystem, identifying new species and proving life flourishes in extreme environments once thought to be barren.
