Scientists find leafless black 'devil' flower plant in Thailand
Scientists from Chulalongkorn University and Prince of Songkla University have discovered a new species of leafless flowering plant in Thailand. The plant, found in Thong Pha Phum National Park, has a flower which is mostly black with reddish-orange patches, giving it a 'devil-like' look. The scientists said they unanimously agreed to name it "Thismia daemona" to capture its "devil-like essence".
