Researchers from the Baylor College of Medicine said they have developed brain implants that let blind people visualise symbols. "When we used electrical stimulation to dynamically trace letters directly on patients' brains, they were able to 'see' the intended letter shapes and correctly identify different letters," they said. Patients described seeing glowing spots or lines forming the letters.
