Scientists at Finland's Aalto University revealed how different types of love influence different parts of brain using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The study found that love for one's children generated most intense brain activity, followed closely by romantic love. Compassionate love for strangers is less rewarding, while love of nature activates brain's visual areas, they said.
