Scientists spot 13-metre giant squid in Australia after 25 years

Scientists have found evidence of a giant squid off the Ningaloo Coast in Western Australia, marking the region’s first known detection in over 25 years. The researchers identified the elusive species through environmental DNA collected from seawater samples. Giant squids can grow up to 12-13 metres long, including their tentacles, and are rarely seen alive by humans.
