Scientists have begun working on building artificial human DNA from scratch under Synthetic Human Genome Project. The project aims to study more about how genes and DNA regulate our bodies and to generate disease-resistant cells, thereby paving the way for better treatments. However, concerns remain about commercialisation of treatments and potential misuse by scientists to create enhanced humans.
