A collaborative team at Scripps Research and Allen Institute has received the US NIH Director's Transformative Research Award to map the body's hidden sixth sense (interoception). The team will get $14.2 million (₹125 crore) over five years to study how the nervous system interprets the body's internal signals to keep vital functions stable.
