In a first, UK-based scientists have successfully trained a spider to jump different distances and heights to study how spiders hunt. A spider can leap up to six times its body length from a standing start while humans can at best achieve about 1.5 times, since a spider's legs can exert fivefold take-off force than the body weight, said scientists.
