Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for South Coast Railway Zone’s headquarters at Visakhapatnam in January 2025. The zone, once operational, is likely to propel agricultural and industrial growth in the region. It is also expected to enhance the logistics thanks to its proximity to the Visakhapatnam and Krishnapatnam ports.
