Seafood exports hit ₹72,326 cr despite tariff headwinds

India's seafood exports hit a record ₹72,325 crore in FY26, led by strong growth in frozen shrimp, according to Marine Products Export Development Authority. While exports to the United States declined due to tariffs, shipments to China and the European Union surged. Key ports like Jawaharlal Nehru Port drove nearly 64 per cent of export value.
