SEBI has barred former Axis Mutual Fund chief dealer Viresh Joshi from the securities market for seven years over a ₹30.56 crore front-running scheme. The regulator found that Joshi leaked confidential details of the fund's upcoming trades to an external trader, who placed trades ahead of the fund and made profits. SEBI also imposed a ₹3 crore penalty on Joshi.
