SEBI has barred Zee Entertainment CEO Punit Goenka and founder Subhash Chandra from the securities market for one year over violations of securities laws. The regulator also imposed a ₹1.48 crore penalty on the company and the two executives. Its probe found that a company property was pledged to secure loans for shareholder-linked entities without the required approvals.
