SEBI has granted foreign portfolio investor (FPI) licences to three Moscow-based entities as sanctions imposed by the West on Russia remain enforced. This may reportedly be the first instance when Russian investors have opted for FPI to invest in India via the foreign portfolio investment route. The entities include Alfa Capital Management Company and an individual named Vsevolod Rozanov.
